This 10-inch custom hand-forged Damascus steel chef knife is a perfect combination of beauty, durability, and performance. Crafted with precision, the knife features a 5-inch Damascus steel blade and a 5-inch handle made of stunning hardwood accented with brass spacers and a handmade steel bolster for added strength. The blade, forged from 512 layers of 1095 and 15N20 high-carbon steel, undergoes hours of meticulous forging to create a unique Damascus pattern that flows beautifully to the edge. Heat treated for superior strength, the blade boasts a Rockwell hardness of 50-54 at the edge and 42-45 at the spine, ensuring long-lasting sharpness. At 4 mm thick, the blade offers fantastic balance and cutting power, with expert hand grinds on both sides and a sleek false edge on the top. This knife is not only a work of art but also a fully functional tool that will enhance any kitchen, making it an excellent choice for professional chefs, home cooks, and collectors alike.
