HOW OUR DAMASCUS IS MADE:
All our Damascus is 100% real and not just an acid etch. It is a forged combination of 1095HC and 15N20 nickel carbon steel. Both metals are heated together and repeatedly folded to create beautiful patterns with 384 layers. The blade is then acid-bathed: the nickel turns a satin silver color, while the high-carbon steel becomes a deep blackish gray, revealing the striking Damascus pattern. After forging, we carefully hand-polish the handle and sharpen the blade to a razor edge. The polished finish highlights the layered design while ensuring outstanding performance in the kitchen.
