Blade: Damascus Steel
The blade is hand forged Damascus steel with a fine layered pattern that shows as bands across its face. The edge runs in a long curve and sweeps up to a raised point, which gives you a smooth, drawn out cut for skinning and slicing. A run of file work is cut into the spine just ahead of the guard. Every blade is forged by hand, so the pattern on yours will be one of a kind.
Handle: Pakkawood
The handle is pakkawood in two colors, with a deep blue section at the front and an orange section at the butt, divided by a pierced brass ring. Black spacers frame both ends, and a brass cap finishes the butt. The brass finger guard at the front is finished with filed notches. Pakkawood is dense and stable, so it stands up well to wet and cold conditions. The color and layering will vary from knife to knife.
