Heritage Forge brings you a 14 inch Damascus bowie knife with a natural bone handle and an engraved brass guard and sub hilt. It is a bold, traditional looking knife for camp, collecting and display, hand forged and finished by hand, and it comes with a genuine leather sheath.
Blade: Damascus Steel
The blade is hand forged Damascus steel with a wavy layered pattern that flows from the guard toward the tip. It has the classic bowie shape, with a long swedge ground along the spine and a wide belly that sweeps up to the point. A notch is cut into the base of the edge near the guard. Every blade is forged by hand, so the pattern on yours will be one of a kind.
Handle: Bone
The handle is natural bone in a warm cream tone, left with its own knuckle shape at the butt so it flares out and stops your hand from slipping back. A brass double guard with flared ends sits at the front, and a brass sub hilt with a finger hook is set into the grip behind it. Both are engraved with fine lines and framed by black spacers. Bone is a natural material, so the color and shape will vary from knife to knife.
