Heritage Forge brings you a 15 inch Damascus sawback bowie knife with a rosewood handle and solid brass fittings. It is a big, bold knife for camp, collecting and display, hand forged and finished by hand.
Blade: Damascus Steel
The blade is hand forged Damascus steel with a fine layered pattern across the flat and arched lines that follow the wide bevel. It swells into a broad belly before it narrows to a spear point, which puts weight forward for chopping and heavy camp cuts. A row of sawback teeth runs along the spine from the guard toward the middle of the blade. Every blade is forged by hand, so the pattern on yours will be one of a kind.
Handle: Rosewood
The handle is rosewood with a rich, warm grain, shaped with a gentle swell that fills the hand. The scales are fixed with two pins and a mosaic pin in the middle of the grip, and a strip of file worked steel runs along the back of the handle between them. A solid brass double guard sits at the front, and a brass cap finishes the butt. Rosewood is a natural material, so the color and grain will vary from knife to knife.
