8" Custom Handmade Damascus Fixed Blade Skinner Knife – Olive & Hard Wood

Heritage Forge brings you an 8 inch Damascus skinner knife with a full tang and a wood and red hardwood handle. It is a compact, comfortable knife for skinning and everyday field work, hand forged and finished by hand, and it comes with a tooled genuine leather sheath.

Blade: Damascus Steel

The blade is hand forged Damascus steel with a bold swirling layered pattern in strong light and dark contrast. It has a drop point and a curved belly that gives you a clean, controlled cut for skinning. Thumb notches are cut into the spine, and a finger notch at the base of the edge lets you choke up for close work. Every blade is forged by hand, so the pattern on yours will be one of a kind.

Handle: Wood and Hardwood

The handle is made in two parts, with red layered hardwood at the front and a light wood grip behind it, divided by thin brass and white spacer lines. The grip narrows in the middle and swells into a rounded butt that fills the palm. The full tang runs the whole length of the handle, with the scales fixed by three brass pins and a brass lined lanyard hole at the butt. Wood is a natural material, so the color and grain will vary from knife to knife.
