This custom lot of 3 handmade Damascus steel chef knives showcases exceptional craftsmanship and quality. Each blade is made from authentic Damascus steel, forged by repeatedly heating and folding a blend of 1095 high carbon steel and 15N20 nickel carbon to create 384 distinct layers. After forging, the blades are acid-etched to reveal their unique patterns, with the nickel layers turning a satin silver and the high carbon layers a deep blackish gray. The metal is polished to a shiny satin finish, especially on the handles, which are finely polished after the acid burn is buffed off. The blades are sharpened with a precise edge that retains durability and sharpness. These knives are completely handmade, with no CNC machining, ensuring quality and individuality in every piece.
