This Damascus steel double head axe is a true masterpiece of craftsmanship, designed for both functionality and style. Hand forged with precision, the blade is crafted from a blend of 1095 and 15N20 high carbon steel, folded into 512 true layers to create a striking Damascus pattern that flows beautifully across both cutting edges. The double head design offers versatility and balance, making it an ideal tool for outdoor survival, camping, and display.
The axe measures an overall length of approximately 16 inches, with each blade reaching a length of about 4 inches and a total cutting width of 8.5 inches. Heat treated to a hardness of 50–54 HRC along the edge and 42–45 HRC along the spine, the blades are engineered for strength, edge retention, and cutting efficiency. The saw-blade effect at the microscopic level allows the axe to keep cutting long after other blades have dulled.
The handle is crafted from natural cocobolo wood, chosen for its strength, durability, and beautiful grain patterns. Comfortable to hold and perfectly balanced, it enhances control and performance. The axe is accompanied by a handmade leather sheath, providing both protection and safe carrying. A superb piece for collectors, outdoor adventurers, or as a striking display item.
