It is created by combining 1095HC and 15N20 nickel carbon steels, which are heated and folded repeatedly to form 384 distinct layers. The blades are then acid-burned, causing the nickel to take on a satin color while the high carbon steel darkens to blackish gray, revealing the stunning layered Damascus pattern. When polished, the metal shines with a satin finish, and only after acid treatment can the layers truly be seen. The handles are carefully high polished to remove any acid burn, and the blade edges are sharpened to a smooth satin finish. Each knife is 100% handmade, reflecting the highest quality and attention to detail.
