The blade edges are sharpened precisely at 20 degrees for superior cutting performance. The knife you see in the photos is exactly what you will receive. Our Damascus steel is authentic, crafted from a mixture of 1095HC and 15N20 nickel carbon steel. The steel bars are heated and folded repeatedly to create an impressive 384 layers, resulting in a beautifully patterned blade. After forging, the blade is burned in acid, turning the nickel layers to a satin finish and the high carbon layers to a blackish gray, which vividly reveals the distinct Damascus pattern. This acid etching process highlights the layers, making the knife both functional and visually stunning. The handle is carefully high polished to remove the acid burn for a smooth satin finish, while the blade edge retains its sharpness and satin appearance.
