HOW OUR DAMASCUS IS MADE:
Our Damascus steel is 100% genuine, forged from 1095 high carbon steel and 15N20 nickel carbon steel. These are heated, folded, and forged repeatedly to create an impressive 384 layers. The blade is then acid-etched — the nickel turns satin silver while the high carbon steel darkens to blackish gray — revealing the stunning layered Damascus pattern.After forging, we high polish the handles and hone the blades to a razor edge. The polishing removes the acid-burned surface on the handle, while preserving the dramatic Damascus patterns on the blade face.
