This vintage handmade double bit Damascus steel axe is a true masterpiece of craftsmanship, blending traditional forging techniques with functional design. Carefully hand forged from premium Damascus steel, this axe is as durable as it is visually stunning, making it a versatile tool for collectors, outdoorsmen, and axe enthusiasts.
The axe features a total length of approximately 18 inches, with each blade measuring 5 inches in length and 5.5 inches in width, ensuring excellent balance and cutting performance. The double bit design provides both utility and versatility, allowing one side to remain razor sharp for precise chopping while the other can be used for heavy-duty tasks. The handle measures 17 inches and is crafted from natural wood, offering a strong, comfortable, and reliable grip during use.
The Damascus steel blade is forged from a blend of 1095 and 15N20 high carbon steel, folded into 512 layers to create its distinct and beautiful pattern. With excellent heat treatment, the blade achieves a Rockwell hardness of 55–58 HRC, ensuring long-lasting sharpness and resilience even under demanding use.
